How do I remove old, dried I think Liquid nails from my floor tiles?

I am putting down a different floor covering, the old carpet & tiles where they met had a cover strip of alumium and was glued down. I need to remove this hard dried glue.

Once dried our adhesives become very difficult to remove. Liquid Nails actually becomes quite resistant to solvents and has a fairly high temperature resistance making it even harder to remove.Your best bet is to scrape and grind away and residual product mechanically. You can try to use mineral turps to help soften it, this is likely to only have a very limited impact though.
