The strongest, shock proof, clear adhesive to glue a metal doorstop to a tiled bathroom floor.

As the doorstop will not be screwed down, the adhesive will need to be strong enough to resist the force of a door closing against the stop. Also, if the bond fails, what could I doo to remove the residue of the adhesive?

As there can be significant pressure put on this bond it is hard to recommend an ideal product that will never break. I would suggest using Araldite Super Strength as it will form the strongest bond on both surfaces. If it breaks there is no easy removal technique short of scraping and sanding. Heating can sometimes soften it slightly, but it will still require scraping away.
