What is best sealant for cracked roof tiles or broken roof tiles? Any tips for preparation and application?

Providing you do not wish to paint the tile then Roof and Gutter silicone is best for this repair. It is flexible, durable and easy to apply. If you plan to paint the tile then Selleys '3 in 1'. Would be suitable and is paintable. 3 in 1 comes in White and Clear however the White will be best for this repair. 3 in 1 is not a silicone, it is a paintable adhesive/sealant.To prepare the break just ensure it is clean and dry . It is easier to leave the broken tile in place and slide the one above it out of the way, apply the sealant into the break and bring the surfaces together, wipe excess off with a rag soaked with a bit of Mineral Turps and then carefully pull the other tile back into place.
