What sealant should I use between kitchen benchtop and wall behind a cooktop? Is temperature a problem?

Because of house movement I need something flexible. I want to seal back of benchtop behind sink and food prep areas as well

I would recommend one of our Wet Area products such as Speed Seal or White for Life (depending on colour required). They will both withstand temperatures up to 150°C. It also allows for +/- 25% flexibility and will more than compensate for any movement in the home.Because they are unlikely to be in direct contact with food they will be suitable between the bench and wall. If food contact may occur, we have a product called Silicone 401 that is suitable for incidental food contact.
