Easy as..

1. Improve light and ventilation

Mould cannot grow in dry and brightly lit areas. So improving ventilation and light is an important first step to getting rid of mould. Keep windows and doors open as much as possible and consider a ventilation fan to remove steam while showering.

To improve bathroom light, remove blinds and curtains and replace with opaque glass. You don’t need to replace the glass, simply pick up an opaquing film to stick onto the glass. You might also consider a skylight or sky tube to increase natural daylight in the bathroom. Some sky tube kits are easy to install and you can do yourself.

2. Remove mould on tiles and grout

What you will need:

To successfully remove mould you need the right product. Selleys Rapid Mould Killer is a powerful spray which kills mould fast. Simply spray on tiles, shower screens and bathroom surfaces, wait at least 30 seconds and wipe off, leaving surfaces hygienically clean. Next, use Selleys Grout Stain Whitener to whiten the grout.  Selleys Grout Stain Whitener is a unique product that helps break the mould cycle as it contains a fungicide to help prevent mould re-growing over it.

3. Replace silicone

What you will need:

Ever noticed mould building up on silicone corners around showers and baths? It's unsightly, not to mention unhygenic! First, remove all traces of old mouldy silicone with Selleys Silicone Remover. Then apply a quality bathroom silicone such as Selleys Wet Area Silicone Sealant, which will ensure your shower is ready to use after one hour of application.
