Selleys Fireblock

Selleys Fireblock AC® is a low toxic, single-component acrylic fire rated sealant featuring UV Tracer technology that has been developed for internal perimeter and penetration seals in fire-rated construction up to 240 minutes in accordance with AS1530.4-2014. Selleys Fireblock PA® is a low toxic, low modulus, non-slumping, PSA composite sealant featuring UV Tracer technology and had been developed for fire and acoustic rated construction in accordance with AS1530.4-2014 up to 240 minutes in a horizontal and vertical joints of 40mm wide in construction joints and service penetrations without solvents or isocyanates. Selleys Fireblock XT is a fire and acoustic rated High Performance SMP Sealant.

Where can this product be used?

Non-trafficable control joints in concrete, masonry, aerated concrete and brick fire rated construction.
Acoustic sealing between most common building materials such as concrete, masonry, aerated concrete, plasterboard, fibre cement, metals, timber and plastic as part of a suitable design.

	Exterior

The following should only be used as a guide and the installer should apply all Australian Standards, BCA/NZBC requirements, and best practices when using Proseries Fireblock.

Substrates must be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, release agents, dust and loose material.
Insert sausage into sausage gun and snip metal clip from one end. Attach nozzle and extrude sealant smoothly into joint, while ensuring that all substrates are well wetted out with sealant.
For fire rating, joint width should be between 10mm and 40mm. Minimum joint depth should be 10mm or half the width for joints wider than 20mm. Install backing rod in joint to control sealant depth.
Allow the sealant to form a thick skin before painting with a flexible paint. To avoid paint cracking, the sealant should be allowed to fully cure before painting with flat and/or ceiling paint.

Limitations:

Not recommended for continuous submersion or below water line use.
# Not for PE, PP or PTFE.

For exterior applications protect from rain until painted with suitable exterior paint

Clean tools and equipment in water before the sealant cures.
To remove cured sealant, tools will need to be soaked in water followed by mechanical action.
